MONSTER MAGNET Cancel Madrid Show Due To Problems With WYNDORF's Voice
April 4, 2004MONSTER MAGNET have been forced to cancel their April 6 gig at the Arenan in Madrid, Spain due to problems with frontman Dave Wyndorf's voice.
"On doctor's advice, Dave has to take at least a 24-hour break in between every couple of shows in order to prevent worse," reads a post on the group's web site. "An official statement by Dave should follow later on today."
As previously reported, MONSTER MAGNET are believed to have signed a deal with Sanctuary Records for all territories outside Europe (where the band are signed to SPV Records). The band's latest album, "Monolithic Baby!", is expected to receive a U.S. release later in the spring. The follow-up to 2001's "God Says No", "Monolithic Baby!" was produced by Scott Humphrey (ROB ZOMBIE, SPINESHANK, ANDREW W.K.) and marks the group's first release with bassist Jim Baglino (LORD STERLING).
